There are three kinds of floors: pure solid wood flooring, reinforced composite flooring and solid wood composite flooring. And the wood composite floor includes: 3-layer solid wood composite floor, multi-layer solid wood composite floor, below to understand the formaldehyde content of various floors:
1. Pure solid wood flooring is processed from the whole wood. There are no other decorations except the surface paint. The formaldehyde released from the floor is negligible.
Solid wood composite flooring is made of three or more layers of solid wood chips cut and glued to form a base material, then the surface is pressed with fine-grained wood bark, which is made by painting technology and other surfaces. The base material of solid wood composite floor is multi-layer plywood. Most of the adhesives are uroformaldehyde resin. The release period of formaldehyde is up to 15 years. The floor surface is painted to block formaldehyde emission, but formaldehyde emission will occur on the bottom and side.
Strengthened composite floor is a floor made of high density board and fibreboard, with decorative layer and wear-resistant layer on the surface, balance layer on the back and high temperature pressing. The main materials of high density fiberboard are wood fibers and adhesives, such as ureal resin adhesives, which release formaldehyde for a long time. As can be seen from the above figure, the formaldehyde emission from solid wood flooring is almost zero.
Generally speaking, the indoor formaldehyde detection value caused by laminated flooring is generally below 0.08 mg, some are even lower, and the environmental protection performance is better; the formaldehyde pollution of solid wood composite flooring is relatively high; the indoor formaldehyde detection value of multi-layer solid wood composite flooring may be more than 0.1 mg, and the formaldehyde emission of three-layer solid wood composite flooring is less than that of multi-layer solid wood composite flooring.
